Thrive New Orleans is happy to announce its $750,000 grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration to support expansion of the green industry sector through workforce training, infrastructure solution development, and minority-owned business growth. The project will be matched with $187,500 in local funds, is expected to create more than 1,100 jobs and generate $250 million in private investment, according to grantee estimates

“This funding for Louisiana reflects a strategic focus on both infrastructure expansion and sustainable industry growth. The grants for Chennault International Airport and Thrive New Orleans will lead to new job creation and private investment, and highlights Democrat’s dedication to fostering resilient and equitable economies across the country,” said Representative Troy A. Carter, Sr. (LA-02).
