We care.

Serving our city in all circumstances

New Orleans radiates warmth, empathy, and the spirit of taking care of one another. Often, necessary resources are simply inaccessible.

In an unpredictable and ever changing environment, ThriveCares directly and intentionally supplies vital resources through a loving network of partners to stabilize families and individuals.

The goal of Thrive New Orleans is to bridge the gap between surviving and thriving. To accomplish this, we need to ensure that all people have the foundational goods necessary to survive.

Meeting people where they are with what they need  (food, water, roof tarps, clothing, baby supplies, cleaning product, and more) to make it possible to overcome natural, personal, and economic crises and disasters, pandemics, and serious, everyday barriers to survival.

Thrive 9th Ward as a Hurricane Ida Resource Distribution Hub

After the storm and as soon as some of T9’s staff could return to the community center, trucks were arriving with large quantities of necessary goods from across the South. The Thrive family was there in mass to receive and organize these supplies.

We distributed thousands of these essential items through two distribution events at Thrive 9th Ward and one point of service in the Hoffman Triangle, set up to serve more of our city. Our network of partners and dedicated volunteers made it possible to re-stock our neighbors’ homes in this critical time of immediate need.

Providing Covid Testing in the 9th ward

During a time of extreme diress for many, we were happy to be able to provide free Covid-19 tests in the Desire Neighborhood of the 9th ward.

How we care:

We empower families, communities, and businesses across
New Orleans to Thrive.
