Chuck Morse

Chuck brings his experience as the former Assistant Secretary in the Louisiana Office of Tourism, Special Assistant to the President at Washington Convention and Tourism Corporation, and most recently as the ConnectWorks Director at the Good Work Network. He has leveraged his passion to help minority business owners and local ministers to expand his impact in serving the broader mission of Thrive New Orleans.

 

Chuck holds a Master's degree in Urban Studies from the University of New Orleans and a Master's degree in Divinity from Union Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans.

Tanya has spent much of her life working to create roads to funding and partnership for HBCUs, and avenues to equity for minority owned businesses here in New Orleans.

With deep experience helping minority businesses navigate startup and growth, he is a technical and operational swiss-army knife.

He loves getting to solve problems and build systems to equip entrepreneurs, help local homeowners, and support community members by through Thrive's "community first" internal infrastructure

Oscar Brown

Born and raised in the Desire neighborhood, Oscar has seen the both the difficulty and the unique resilience and joy that comes from growing up in the community.

After spending years working with churches and youth in the 8th and 9th wards, Oscar gets to spend each day connecting neighbors in the Desire neighborhood to opportunities for growth through the Thrive 9th Ward Community Center.

He loves getting to empower his Desire community through programming for everyone from toddler to 99 yrs, partnerships with local businesses and nonprofits, and a space that the neighborhood is proud of.
