Role:
Serving as Thrive’s Digital Media Specialist through an internship, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, you will bring the work that we do to life through getting photo and video content and even putting together digital stories about the families, communities, and businesses that Thrive New Orleans works with. Depending on your professional interests, we can tailor the position towards your preferred media – photo, video, graphic, or even written content.

Expect:
There is no set day-to-day schedule of this position, but you can expect to:

Regularly check-in about upcoming events and projects that need media coverage with the head of Marketing
-
Go to our locations across the city to capture our work, including:
-
Interview community members who we have served to get their stories of how our programming has moved their lives from surviving to Thriving
-
Edit video and photo content
-
Write quick blurbs about events and successes within the organization for our website
Skills:
The ideal candidate can:

Creatively pull details of an event or story together in a visual format

Comfortably interact with people from all different backgrounds

Build relationships with empathy and kindness

Work effectively in a project-based format (self-motivated/good at time-management
