NEW ORLEANS – Thrive New Orleans joined New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA) and Mayor LaToya Cantrell, the City of New Orleans Department of Parks and Parkways and AdvancingCities grant partners to announce a training and job placement opportunity for the city’s green infrastructure industry at a press conference on Tuesday, June 13, at 11 a.m. at the Parks and Parkways office.
The announcement was part of the AdvancingCities initiative, a $5 million grant program funded by JPMorgan Chase to strengthen the city’s economic and climate resilience. As one of seven selected cities, New Orleans is making a historic investment into blue-green infrastructure, providing pathways to new career opportunities for residents and contract opportunities for local small businesses.
