Thrive New Orleans is committed to racial equity by advancing new systems for economic opportunity, climate resiliency, and community stability. Thrive focuses on three areas of impact: developing a skilled workforce, building the capacity of small businesses, and engaging youth and families.

Thrive envisions an equitable future for New Orleans with living-wage jobs, critical infrastructure for climate change, and flourishing neighborhoods.

OUR APPROACH

Thrive is deeply embedded in New Orleans’ black communities. We operate  T9, a community center in the Ninth Ward’s Desire Neighborhood, and our office is on the Claiborne corridor in Tremé, the oldest African American neighborhood in the United States.

Our geographic locations reflect our commitment to a place-based approach of community revitalization. We believe that local leaders are best suited to achieve a new way forward for their neighborhoods, and we are here to equip and empower them to do so.
